Please include “TimeZlider” in the subject.

To help us understand the issue, include:

  • Your iPhone or iPad model and iOS or iPadOS version.
  • Your TimeZlider version, shown at the bottom of Settings › Help.
  • What happened, what you expected, and the steps that led to it.
  • For a time-zone issue, the cities, selected date, and time. A screenshot can help; hide any private details first.

TimeZlider requires iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. These instructions cover the iPhone and iPad app.

Understanding the grid

How do I read the times?

In the Columns layout, each column is a city. Your home city is the first column. Read across a row to see the same moment in every city, even when their dates are different. Tap a row to select a time.

What do the colors and date labels mean?

  • Lighter cells are daytime. Darker cells are night: before 6 AM and from 7 PM in that city.
  • −1 / +1 means the previous or next date compared with your home city. A date label shows where a city's day changes.
  • Now marks the current hour when it is in view.
  • Works for everyone marks times inside every displayed city's business hours when that Pro feature is enabled.

Can I put cities in rows instead?

Yes. Open Settings › Appearance › Layout and choose Timeline. Cities appear in rows and time runs horizontally. Choose Columns to return to the original layout.

Cities and city sets

How do I add or change a city?

Tap + to add a city. Search by city, country, or time zone, or choose Browse by Country. To replace an existing city, tap its name on the grid and search for another one.

Free lets you compare up to 3 cities; Pro supports up to 8. Keep at least 2 cities in your comparison.

How do I choose my home city?

Tap the city you want to use, then choose Make Home. It moves to the first position, and the grid uses its day as the reference. A selected meeting stays at the same moment.

Can I rename, reorder, or remove cities?

Tap a city name to rename or remove it. In Columns, hold a non-home city's name and drag it sideways to reorder. You can also use Settings › Cities › Edit, including when you use Timeline. The home city stays first; choose another home city before removing it.

How do saved city sets work?

With Pro, open City Sets using the layers button or Settings › City Sets. Name your current group, such as “Team” or “Family”, then tap Save. Tap a saved set to switch to its cities and home city.

Saved sets are stored on this device. They do not currently sync between devices.

Dates and daylight saving

How do I look at another day?

Scroll through the grid, or tap the date above it to choose Today, Tomorrow, or a date from the calendar. Use the Today button to return when you have moved away from today.

Does TimeZlider adjust for daylight saving?

Yes. Times use the time-zone rules provided by your device for the date you are viewing. Cities may change their clocks on different dates, so the difference between them can change during the year.

When the home city's clocks move forward, an hour may be missing. When they move back, an hour can appear twice; the repeated occurrence is marked 2nd. This is expected.

A time looks wrong. What should I check?

Check the selected date, home city, and the country of each city. Look for previous-day or next-day labels. Keep your device's software up to date so it has recent time-zone rules. If the time still looks wrong, send us the cities, date, and time.

Planning and sharing

How do I plan a meeting?

Tap a time on the grid to open its details. Adjust the start time and duration, and use the pencil beside the title to choose or enter a meeting name. The panel shows the corresponding time in each city.

How do I send the time to someone?

Choose Message, Mail, Copy, or Share. The shared text includes each city's local date and time, with a previous-day or next-day note when needed. Copy lets you paste it into any messaging app.

Why are Mail or Message unavailable?

These actions depend on Mail or Messages being set up and available on your device. You can still use Copy or Share to send the same information through another app.

Can I add the meeting to my calendar?

Choose Add to Calendar in the time details, review the event in Apple's calendar editor, and save it. Closing the editor without saving does not create an event. Sharing a time as text does not create a calendar invitation.

Business hours Pro

How do I find a time that works for everyone?

Open Settings › Business Hours and turn on Show business hours. Set the default start and end times, or select a city to give it custom hours. Hours use each city's own local time and apply every day.

The grid marks each city's business hours and highlights the shared window as Works for everyone. This checks your chosen business hours, not whether each person is free in their calendar.

What if there is no shared window?

The cities' business hours may not overlap on the selected date. Review each city's hours, try another time, or choose a time outside someone's usual hours. A shared window is not always possible across distant time zones.

Can I set hours that run past midnight?

Yes. An end time earlier than the start continues into the next day, such as 10 PM to 6 AM. Setting the same start and end time means all day.

Calendar

How do I show existing events on the grid?

With Pro, open Settings › Calendar, turn on Show my events, and allow full calendar access. Open Calendars to choose which calendars appear.

My events are missing

  • Check that Show my events is on and that your calendars are selected.
  • If access was denied or is limited, use Open Settings on the Calendar screen to allow full access.
  • Check the selected date and confirm the event is present in Apple's Calendar app on this device.
  • All-day events do not produce hourly event markers.

Adding an event and showing existing events are separate. Add to Calendar is available without Pro and does not require the full access used by the grid overlay.

Pro and purchases

What's free, and what does Pro add?

Free

Compare up to 3 cities, browse dates, choose meeting times, share them, and add events to your calendar. Includes 12/24-hour time, 30-minute rows, and both layouts.

TimeZlider Pro

Compare up to 8 cities, set business hours, find shared working hours, see calendar events on the grid, and save city sets.

Pro is a one-time purchase, with no subscription. Open Settings › TimeZlider Pro to see the current price in your currency.

How do I restore my purchase?

Use the Apple Account that made the purchase, connect to the internet, and choose Settings › Restore Purchases. Restore is also available on the Pro screen.

If nothing is found, check the Apple Account used for App Store purchases and try again. If restoration still fails, contact us with the message shown in the app.

I bought an upgrade in an earlier version

Recognized earlier TimeZlider in-app upgrades unlock Pro. The app checks your App Store purchases automatically. If Pro is not active, try Restore Purchases using the account you originally purchased with. Settings › Previous Purchase shows whether a previous upgrade was found.

My purchase is pending or the store is unavailable

A pending purchase may be waiting for approval; Pro unlocks after the App Store confirms it. If the store is unavailable, check your connection and choose Try Again on the Pro screen, or try again later.

How do I request a refund?

Purchases and refund requests are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund.

Settings and your data

How do I change the time format or row spacing?

Open Settings › Time. Choose System, 12-hour, or 24-hour, and show rows every hour or every 30 minutes. You can also choose the first day of the week for the date picker.

Can I change the appearance?

Open Settings › Appearance to choose System, Dark, or Light. System follows your device's appearance.

Do I need an account or internet connection?

No TimeZlider account is needed. City search and time comparisons work offline. Buying or restoring Pro requires access to the App Store. Sending a message or email depends on the app you use and its connection.

Where are my settings and calendar events stored?

Your cities, preferences, and saved city sets are stored locally on this device. Calendar events are read on the device to show them on the grid; TimeZlider does not send them to a server. The app does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

If you email support, only include information you are comfortable sharing with us.
