01

The challenge

Leisure aviation has a safety and accessibility problem. Rehearsing a flight, sharing position, or running a local competition historically required purpose-built GPS loggers that are expensive and badly suited to Saturday-morning club flights.

Air Sports came to Creo with a blank page and a thesis: everything expensive aviation hardware does for professionals, a smartphone in a pilot's cockpit can do for everyone else if the software is good enough.

02

What we built

  • Consumer iOS and Android apps designed for single-hand use in a cockpit
  • Real-time tracking back-end with low-latency positional streaming
  • Route planning and competition rehearsal tools
  • Live-streaming layer for races and rehearsals
  • Paid subscription system with App Store and Play Store distribution
  • Multi-market launch architecture across Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark
03

How we built it

This was a zero-to-one build. We partnered from ideation through strategy, design, development, launch, and continued shipping as the community grew.

One accountable team meant decisions about live streaming, pricing, and race-organiser tooling could be made across disciplines inside a single meeting.

04

The outcome

Air Sports now has an active paid subscriber base in Scandinavia, with less than 1% crash rate across iOS and Android.

The platform has been featured by the Federation Aeronautique Internationale and is used by pilots and event organisers to run real competitions.
