Overview
As with any kind of navigation, a hands-on experience has much to add to the learning curve and avert life-threatening collisions or disasters. And when it comes to flying, consistent and intuitive navigation helps in endowing the flexibility to pilots that will enable them to simplify their navigation process.
However, ensuring security is the foremost challenge facing the aviation sector. The onus on valuable practical lessons is much larger, and can come at a high cost for those keen on alternative hobby activities like leisure flying or competitions. Constant tracking and monitoring is of enormous benefit to both beginner and advanced pilots in this sector.
Air Sports Live Tracking aims to do just that, through its user-friendly online platform that functions seamlessly without a GPS logger or any expensive equipment. This system is designed to help less experienced pilots create their own detailed navigation routes on their smartphone at a very minimal cost. The platform also enables them to access other flights in different locations across the world, and follow their favourite live competitions and results.
From sharing one’s location with other pilots to rehearsing for air races in new locations, the platform is built to perform continuously and flawlessly in real time. Partnering with Creo to build this from the ground up, a deep involvement in ideation, strategy, design, development and launch has resulted in the thoughtfully laid out model - the platform is now helping hundreds of pilots across experiences and places to practice and improve their skills.
As the app was built to also support live streaming, it opens up a fascinating glimpse into pilots’ races to everyone. This is a huge boost to promoting competitive air sports, and is a valuable addition for event organizers to tap into much higher reach and engagement.
